| #6 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | Oh and dont go off what people tell you choose a console thats fits you by looking at content like online play, controler, memory, cost and so on. But you really need to look at games find which conlsoles have what games they usually share the a lot of the same games so look at exclusives for ecah console and make your own choose! |

| #8 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | Well if we're talking just what a consoles abilities are, PS3 wins.
But if we're talking all around, as of now anyway, including list of good games, feeling of controller, number of ways to use it, 360 wins. Although I feel the PS3 controller is much better than the 360 one.
So........I guess Xbox 360.
However Idon't own either, and I'll be getting a PS3 before a 360. |

| #10 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | right now, the 360 completely owns, it's got a better selection of games, though, honestly, I really wish I had a PS3, cuz better games are coming out, (MGS 4, FF13, and Lair, I'm looking at you). It's dropping in price, and it's "large and in charge"(best Wii commercial ever) but for now, I'd stick with the 360, cause those... umm... "fighting poses" from Doa 4 are just screaming "buy us-I mean me!" |

| #16 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | I think PS3 is better with a controller system in my opinion as I hated the Xbox controls. |

|
| #17 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | The 360 will win. Why? Because it came out first.
Thats right.
The original box was a MUCH better console then the PS2, but which was more succesful? They PS2. Which came out first.
Time is such a stupid factor becasue the PS3 is floundering due to the fact that no console gets games which exploit it's full potential for at least a few years, yet Sony are already telling everyone that the 360 is pale competition.
So I'm voting 360 is winning because of time factor. |

|
| #18 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | I'm a huge fan of my 360 simply because it has a better selection of games right now and is still putting out a good title every couple of months.
The main advantage I see for the PS3 is that hardwear wise it's superior and the fact that you don't have to pay any fees to play online or download new content is a huge selling point. I won't be getting one just yet simply because of the price tag and the fact that there are still awesome games being released for botht the PS2 and the 360. |

| #19 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | xbox 360 the way ps3 have done everything frankly makes me hate it. They say there competitors are crap when they clearly are doing terrible, they put down the Wii when it's having triple (i think) sales, they just think there untouchable so they go on and on about how there 'changing the future' it's pretty simply put. Ps3 you're to up yourself to be good. Xbox 360 rules the day for now, but games are the main factor and neither console has been hot on them lately |

| #21 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | I'm a huge fan of the 360, because I hate Sony.
Hey, don't look at me like that, they started it, and kept on. There is no doubt in my mind that Sony hates its customers. It continually screws us all over repeatedly. Like the way they did that Price drop in the US, apart from it wasn't really a price drop, just a clearance sale to make way for a new expensive version. Heck, their Europe spokesperson even stated this.
Also I have had a couple consoles stop playing game discs. Including a Not-Even-A-Year-Old PSP.
Well their hate has breed a hate within me, and I'm not going to buy their products if I can avoid it.
Not because I think the 360 is better. Not because I'm a blah dee blah fanboy. But because I think the company marketing the machine are a dreadful company.
And the pricetag (specially here in the UK, I don't care how much "value" they add to it, I'm not spending that much on it).
And the fact I fear that I'll get one, and end up a few months latter with a load of Blu-Ray discs and nothing to read them with, like I have with twice before.
And agh, their marketing people sound like they might be on drugs.... We had a right laugh at them in the forums at work. |

| #24 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | I agree with Readout up there on 360 winning out in the end, but because Microsoft's game plan just worked better than Sony's. (lets just ignore the obvious stigma that Sony has in the eyes of its customers.)
Unfortunetly, the ps2 was the top of the heap because the Xbox was a one trick pony. Action games. Halo mostly. My old Xbox collection consists of 4 games, Kotor 1, unreal championship 2 and Halo 1&2. My ps2 collection consists of 45 games, 32 of them, i still play now and again. The ps2 had the only advantage that ever, truly mattered, the vast seleciton of games. Full backwards compatability owned the day.
If graphical power really was so important as some of the old Xbox croud claimed, I woulden't be playing Odin Sphere right now, Game boys would have gone the way of dinosaur when 3D was popularised, and Kotor would not be so awsome (cause honestly, that game was butt ugly at times.)
Now, in all honesty, I own a 360, but will purchase a PS3 when my PS2 finaly craps out (might take a few more years, I take meticulous care of the little thing) and when the PS3 gets more games (God of war 3).
Sony gets a few points simply because they are still putting out games for the ps2, so the ps2 croud can wait a while before they need to purchase the Ps3 (basicly when the sequal to their favorite Ps2 game comes out).
And Lazylen, the Ps2 is 1 1/2 years older than the origional Xbox. |

| #25 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | While it's true that the early release of the 360 has given Microsoft a competitive edge in the business aspect, we often forget the most important factor: crazy-ass fans.
Sony's been around way longer than Microsoft, and was a larger fanbase. And yes, there are many defecting to the 360, but the fanbase is big enough for them to take a hit.
"Who wins?" also depends on what aspect of the system you wanna focus on. In terms of FPS games, 360 wins, no doubt. The controller is MADE for FPS. If you wanna bank on power, the PS3 definitely has more power.
Right now, the 360 IS 'winning' because it HAS been out longer, so there are more games for it, but in the near future lies plenty of games for the PS3 to hope on. Not to mention plenty of game variation. Seriously, the only worthwhile EXCLUSIVE titles XBOX holds are generally FPSs. PS3 has a better variety.
As for graphics, I don't think that factor will REALLY matter until at LEAST a year or so after the release of the console, because the game makers will need time to really tap into the power of the consoles in order to push them to the max. People are complaining now about how similar the games look. That's because they've just begun to work with new hardware.
In terms of price, Sony is getting its tail WHIPPED. Granted, it's price has been dropping, and I personally (that is, without any real grounds) believe there will be another price drop soon, but they're asking for a hell of a lot. Still, in the end, the PS3 will be the more cost-effective buy because of blu-ray tech. It's a little early for them to install such a hard-core piece of tech, but eventually, it'll be quite worth it, I think.
And as for online play... that's a total toss-up. XBOX has had XBOX Live for quite a while and knows how to handle massive online play. The question is, will Sony be able to step up to the challenge? I think they'll be able to handle themselves fairly decently.
... and holy shit, this post is long. Sorry, dudes. ^-^;; |

| #26 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | I have to say Xbox 360 all the way. I like some Sony games but after hearing about the PS3 being way too over hyped, it being 700 dollars, and people getting stabbed and shot to death, I've lost respect to even buy one any time soon. I will get one when Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out but that would be my only reason. Otherwise PS3 is trash, well right now it is. |

You've no respect for Sony because people shot each other to get a PS3? That has absolutely NOTHING to do with Sony or the PS3 or even the stores where it happened at. You're going to get one when KH3 comes out, which won't be for quite a while, why not get one now and wait for KH3? You could watch Hi-def movies on it or even take a chance on games other than ones you're hyped for. |

I know the attacks have nothing to do with the company but it shows how violent and stupid Sony fans can be over just a game system. I hate all the hype it's gotten. |
