He added that the ailments seem stress-related. From Thompson’s court filing:
Plaintiff, at 3 am this day, is suffering what he believes is arrhythmia, from which he has suffered previously, as well as chest pain. This may be a benign condition, or it may be serious. He has had other previous episodes like this induced by stress.
Plaintiff must try to see his cardiologist… to try to assess the problem. It is most likely stress-related by virtue of The Florida Bar’s demand that Thompson be psychiatrically/psychologically evaluated in violation of its own Rules.

Even if he doesn't treat some of the rest of us as such, we shouldn't lower ourselves to his level. Saying he eats kittens is just a funny and amusing joke, which happens to be true, but being happy that he could be about to die is just being as bad as he is.
The worst thing is that is any actual Gamer did send their well wishes to him, he would most likely automatically reject them....

It would be fine if he left it at that, but then he takes it further by trying to get rid of video games. I'll admit that while there is a little hope that this may finally get him to stop, I do hope that he gets better and realizes that trying to destroy the video game industry isn't worth his time or his health. |

I've read his book before for some research purposes, and I can definitely say he's completely dedicated to making sure kids don't play the games that they shouldn't be. It's just that he handles it so damn poorly he gets the whole gaming community in an uproar.
Don't tell me you wouldn't get pissed if you got floods of hate mail and death threats every day. It doesn't exactly help our case that we're enjoying watching him suffer at times. |

It's one thing to be concerned about video games' contribution to desensitizing children to violence (which is IMO a legitimate concern), it's another thing to attack them as the cause of downfall of society (the kind of oversimplification that engendered people like McCarthy and Nixon). |

| #20 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | I'm kinda torn on the whole Jack issue. It is NOT a good thing that he has a heart problem. NO man should have his death celebrated just because he dislikes videogames.
Don't get me wrong, I get as annoyed as any gamer with his constant campaigning, but in the end, he is just a concerned person trying to protect society. He just goes about it the wrong way entirely, frequently goes too far and just has the wrong ideas and methods.
So, I think deep down he's a good person, just stupid, over-reactive and tends to go about things the wrong way. It's kinda sad how he doesn't seem to realise he's a laughing stock, really.

Because most people resort to flaming him, and one guy stands up, (if he actually believe what he's saying or if he's playing devil's advocate is irrelevent) and ends up looking like a jackass. No pun intended.
Seriously though, Jack has good intentions, he just is actually a dumbass who doesn't realise that he's not helping anybody.
A bit like that guy in films who works for teh bad guys but actually thinks he works for the goodies.
He's that guy.
Except add a shit load of idiocy to him.
He doesn't deserve us to cut off his balls, then stick them up his ass then when he shits, he'll be crapping all over his balls, but he does deserve to shut the hell up.

For all the damage he's done to the gaming industry, he truly deserves whatever happens to him, and I say this from the bottom of my heart.
