Okay, I know I'm a bit late to the party on this one, but HOLY SHIT. This is the first time in a very, very long time that a game has sucked me in like this. I initially rented this game, but there's no way that I can't buy this. So now I'm going to go to Wal-Mart, buy a new copy, and replace it for the rental copy. THAT IS HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS GAME. Does anyone else share my love?

My favorite DS game yet. I didn't expect the localized version to be translated so well. Not only that, the ending song is really nice. =D

I want this game, but I haven't gotten it yet (damn) I have seriously heard many good things about this game, and I need it.

Really, it's awesome. And it's HARD. I can't remember the last time a game has challenged me this much (besides Fire Emblem.) Lots of Ninty games these days are dumbed down for the casual crowd, or the same puzzles we've seen a million times. This game is new, innovative, and challenging, and I NEED this to become a series.

Well I dunno about that. I don't think i've had a half bar of life at all since I started it.

Definately one of the best games around. To be written so well, and have such intense gameplay. I have to admit, I kinda suck at battles. But I havent had a lot of gaming time since work started. Still an amazing game, I reccomend it to everyone!

Mmm yeah, I love this game. I don't think it's really TOO difficult, at least once you manage to get good at the combat system. It was nice how your partner's combo systems got more difficult as the game went on. I loved the story, loved the characters, REALLY loved the Pin system (and Tin Pin is really addicting). All of your partners were interesting and had really cool stories behind them (especially Joshua).

The only thing I really need to still do in the game is finish the last two floors of "Pork City" and "Encounter the ultimate evil" at the top to collect the final report. Also, Sho Minamoto is my new favorite villain. Zetta-awesome.

One of the best NintendoDS games I've owned to date. The story is top-notch (unlike most of the Nintendo games released lately), the gameplay style is completely original, and with the secret reports (and Tin Pin) this game has tons of replay value.

For a S-E game, it's not very popular. o.O Probably because you need actual strategy to play it, instead of "attack, attack, attack, enemy dead." Then again, I'm a fan of Shockwave psychs, so what do I know? xD

It's addicting. I love the battling system. I love the art.

I found myself staying up 'till 3 in the morning playing...that's when I knew I ought to stop...nooooes I only have 5 more days left until the end! [ Or what I think will be the end...muahahaha ]

Bleh Beat's combo system is annoying. I can't keep my eye on his cards all the time!

I can't describe how gay this looks, but I might as well load it onto my R4 and try it.

Well, he has amnesia! Wait that doesn't defend anything.....

One thing though is that he DOES have amnesia, but we didn't know that until he said it Days into it. So that was something diferent, even if it was small.

was browsing this forum a couple days ago, heard this was a pretty decent game, read this thread, then made a decision to go out and buy it (also afterviewing gameplay vids on youtube).

I have to say this is the best game i currently own on my DS, in my opinion it has a storyline worthy of a title under Final Fantasy, however im glad it isnt because its good to see square experiment with unique ideas now and then, the characters were great, they seem to react to situations how any one of us might, and that goes a long way, alot of pop culture references especially in the Another Day scenario after you beat the game, such as emos, indie bands, steroid use (LOL!) and etc...

so yeah i pretty much played it every chance i got, and haven beaten the game in no time at all, i will no doubt be sapping this for all its worth over a long period of time (there is an insane amount of end game content. to be expected of Square anyway), sort of like i did with crisis core.

as for a sequel i doubt it, i read up how profits didnt come as expected this year for square and they are only sticking to mainstream products, no more unique experiments, as far as TWEWY goes as mainstream, i dont think its franchise worthy barely getting to the halg a million copies sold worldwide mark, but i would openly accept a sequel.

I share your love, I really do.
The story really pulls you in. I just love it.
The art for the game is fantastic, and the music is wonderful.
It may not have a big title like Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy, but it really deserves it.
This is, no doubt, my favorite game.

Haha, yes, I also did not take too kindly to our emo protagonist in the beginning...

He does have a LOT of character growth throughout the game, however, which is something I really like about it.

I hate the combo thingy with your partner, never managed to get the hang of it at all.
I don't like the battle system too much. It often doesn't do what I want, though after a while you get used to it.
I like the animation style.
I love the music.

Despite the fact everything I generally base games on should say I hate the game, I don't... It's honestly just about the best game I've ever played

After a while I got used to the Partner Combo style.
And now I never use Auto Play.
They take out much more damage when used on Manual.
Beat is the best partner in my opinion.

#25   Posted 5 months agoReply
Hell no. Beat is the worst. I don't like having to pay too close to my partner, so mashing the D-pad with Shiki/Joshua gets me combos much more easily than with Beat. Plus: MOTHERFUCKING JESUS BEAMS.

B-b-b-But, I loves Beat.
Well, I pump up his stats, and don't really use the Fusion as often. =/
So, when it comes to Fusion, I'd say Joshua and his Jesus Beams.
But, I still do better with Beat than anyone else.

Definitely the best game of the year!!!!!!!!!!! (so far)

with by far the best music!!!!!!! (ever in a game, ever!!)

I love gameplay but I still use auto-play so when I forget about my partner she/he still does something.

Joshua is by far the best, but I much rather use Shiki and she always starts with a fusion with me!!!

Don't get me wrong, I liked Beat as a character, but he just plain sucked in battle. He kept getting knocked down, and he takes more damage than he should, even if I pump his defense.

On the flip side, hated hated Joshua, even moreso at the end, but he's definitely the best one in battle.

Once I got the hang of Beat's combo system, I found it was the easiest one to gain Fusion with. I mean, no one else can get 8 fusion stars in one combo like Beat can. Honestly, I think that game has my new favorite villain. Sho Minamoto. Talk about zetta-awesome.

Yeah, when it comes to villians, Sho Minamimoto is the best.
SohCahToa~!
And in Another Day, he was hilarious!
