I was a little shocked when saw there was no thread here yet, considering the fact it's out soon, but who cares.

So, any of you going to pick it up? I'm going to, even though the only other Star Wars games I have are made completely of Lego. I was at a friend's house playing Star Wars Battlefront 2 and decided I needed something like that.

As for the story (assuming the game lets me) EVIL ALL THE WAY. I haven't changed much since Black & White.

I'm waiting on some official opinions to decide whether I get it or not. Personally, I see it falling short of expectations.

its not so much a game, but more of a test of all the latest gaming technology, and what better franchise couldve afforded the cost of it other than star wars. The two main things they apply above all else are DMM (Digital Molecular Matter) and Euphoria (incredible AI), there is no other game out there with both of those implemented, so i think lucasarts just wanted to be the first. Other than that i predict an incredibly short game with a not so important storyline, i mean it cant be all that great if it wasn't included in any movie or not referenced at all, then again they hadnt even thought about it until now, which is weird because George Lucas had thought of the entire plot before writing it, hence why we got episiodes 4 5 and 6 before 1 2 and 3.

Desperate attempt to extend the star wars franchise, they are going to end up killing it.

I'm probably gonna rent it instead. I read some of the reviews and it didnt really sound all that great. Check ign or 1up.com for more info

The writers claim that the events will be "pivotal" to Darth Vader's development, but we have yet to see. I might rent it like Ultragrowth before deciding, seeing as reviews aren't that great.

Even though it's getting average-ish reviews, I'm still going to get it. I'm a sucker for anything Star Wars related, plus, the story is meant to be good.

the things hurting it are it's got a short story and that apperently some boss fights can be cheap. but that's just what I read. I also read it's worth to buy just to be darth vader on the first level

I bought it and played and I really enjoy it. The boss fights are really good (yes you can fight Darth Vader and it sucks because he is REALLY easy. I was toying with him in the end just to try and get some Force Locks or something cool like that). The moves are and look amazing and there is stuff to do once you have completed the game (unless you get a walkthrough and do perfectly the first time through). I believe there is a multiple ending as you seem to have to make a choice on what you do on the last level but I have not got anywhere near the end on my second time through. Definately worth buying. Also this is the first Star Wars game I have ever played so I have no other Star Wars games to base it on.

I've now bought and played through it. It’s a unique blend of both excellent and terrible game design. Take that, as you will. Force resistant enemies in a game called The Force UNLEASHED.....kind of annoying.

I just got it today too... I only played the 1st level and it was... Pretty Boring. Maybe because I was playing as Vader. But he was SLOOOOOW. Then there was that Jedi. To kill him, you need to twist the Wiimote/Nunchuck about to slam him all over the place. I barely had any time to actually react, and I took forever trying to actually DO it. Hopefully, the game gets MUCH better as the apprentice.

Yeah I Didn't Like Vader That Much As He Was Slow But If You Do Play Further The Main Hero Is Much Faster And Better To Use. I Own It On PS3 So I Don't Have To Do Any Of The Moving Around With The Wiimote/Nunchuck But That Sounds Like It Would Be Quite Fun.

Trust me it's not. Half the time the Combo's don't work or you end up doing a stab attack by swinging sideways. I just finished Kashyyk with the apprentice and my brother actually completed it twice Then it's how cheap bosses can be. With the Wiimote it's hard to get a combo in and block, since you'll end up saber throwing. They tend to be force resistant, and if they're a jedi, spam Saber Throw and Push. At least I got the hang of that stupid minigame were you swing the Wiimote/Nunchuck. (I hold them 'Backwards' from what the game says, so I kind of got confused.)

Personally, I prefer KOTOR.

Fair Enough. I Love The PS3 One As It Is Really Easy To Use And The Combos Can Actually Be Done Unlike Other Games. Its Quite Cool As Well To Suddenly Start Seeing Your Guy Grab A Jedi, Throw Him Into The Air, Slash Him A Few Times Then Spin Him Round With The Force And Smash Him To The Ground.

Wii Sounded Like It Could Have Had A Lot Of Potential But I Guess Not.
