| #1 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | Obvious one, but with a twist. You cannot use Superman, Spider-Man, Batman or Wolverine, as they are too obvious. Also, don't use manga heroes much as there is a thread on them already. |

| #7 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | Like the villain thread I'm going to try for 10 here, I'm using superhero a bit loosely at times so I can include novels so apologies for that.
1- Paul Atreides - Like the villain thread because Dune had to be in here somewhere, but he is really one of my favourite heroes anyway.
2 - Jesse Custer (Preacher) - I'm noticing a theme that a lot of my favourite villains and heroes are from the same series.
3 - Iceman - Ok he's cocky and arrogant (in the comics anyway) but I like him.
4 - Ghost Rider - I was young, he rode a motorbike, wore leather and had a flaming skull. No more explanation needed really.
5 - Beast - Gotta love a wisecracking genius with blue fur.
6 - Lobo - More of an anti hero really but suits this list better than villains.
I've run out of effort to explain my reasons now so excuse the last 4.
7 - Druss
8- Skilgannon
9 - Shadow (American Gods)
10 - Wolverine circa Age of Apocalypse. Screw the rules I have money.*

I thought Marvel Girl was Rachel Summers and Jean was only actually Phoenix when she merged with the power of the phoenix force otherwise she was just regular old Jean Grey.
Checking the Marvel site though it looks like she's always merged with it in some way though.

Apart from that, I'm just a big fan of superheroes in general. Although Cyclops and Pheonix have never really been interesting to me. Also, I can no longer stand Iron Man. He's become a borderline psychotic self-righteous a-hole, and let's face it, he's a hypocrite. Look at the new Thunderbolts. But anyway, I like the geniuses and heroes who're good in an old-fashioned super-powered fist-fight. |

I love the idea of a super hero but continuity and so many books etc really turns me off from DC and Marvel. |
