| #1 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | I like this series ALOT even though it get abit boring at some parts...but that happens in a lot of series i've noticed, anyway I just wanted to see who else has read this series and what they think about it. |

| #2 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | I've read I think 5 of them.. which obviously means I haven't finished :P Unfortunately my library doesn't have them all and I've never gotten around to buying them.
Because..
Let's admit it.
Manga is so much more fun to buy.

| #4 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | I've read the whole series it starts to get boring towards the end and feels rushed.
Theres also a movie of the first 3 books supposedly coming out.o.O |

| #5 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | I have all of these. And the Demonata. I love the plot lines in these, and Shan's take on Vampires =]
I think it's difficult to keep a plot going properly without filling in the gaps with boring things, but as far as I'm concerned, He's managed it perfectly. |

| #7 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | Hmm.. I think Crepsley was awesome, but I prefer Arra Sails. And Mr Tiny!!! I didn't care much for Steve Leopard. His role was a bit cliché.
I don't think Crepsley should have went. It made me cry xD Don't know who should have though.. |

| #12 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | Ooooooo, I love this series~! ^^
I have read the whole series about three or four times and it's really good. The only thing I don't like about it, is the ending of the series. It just seems so...well, blah to me. The rest of the series is great, just not the ending...
From what I have heard, the manga version is suppose to come out of August 9th, but I am not fully sure about that. Also, they have the first chapter of it online, in ENGLISH~! =D |

| #14 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | To quote myself from another thread:Darren Shan was so amazingly good until the 5th book.
Then the series became a meaningless pile of garbage, culminating with the most pathetic conclusion that I've ever had the misfortune to read >_>
It's a pity, really. Such a nice initial concept...seemed so promising at first... |

| #15 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | Oh, I love the series. from what i've heard, they're going to make the books in to movies, each movie based on 3 books. should be out by next year. check out this link for the scoop on it. http://uk.rottentomatoes.com/m/lord_of_the_rings_the_motion_picture_trilogy/news/1647858/ |

| #16 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | I really liked the whole series, but I do agree that 1-5 are at least slightly better than 6-12. |
|
|
| #17 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | I had to read the first book in class. Its wasn't bad, but i have a felling that I would get around to reading the other books for a while. I have another felling that they would hold my interesting for very long. Horror was never really my thing. |
|
|
| #18 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | I read 1-3 and then 6. 6 really put me off the series. It just seems to get more and more unrealistic and somewhat predictable. Maybe its just because I've read a lot of similar stories. |
|
|
| #19 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | ...I saw the ending coming. Somehow, I just knew how it would end. But a neat series. I even got my mom to read it...and when I can get her to like something, you know it has to be good. |

| #22 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | love anything by Darren Shan |
|
|
| #23 Posted 8 months ago | Reply | Darren Shan (or O'Shaunery or something) is the best.
He was going to write around 17 books for the saga of darren shan , but then he realised he was wimping out and finished it at 12.
they are very good and very original. |

| #24 Posted 6 months ago | Reply | | This series is easily one of the best. The only sad thing about it was the length of each book. I felt it could of been detailed a bit better at parts. But yea once again a sad ending. I mean he just leaves everyone. Like Debbie for example. All he thinks about is if she will be ok, not can I be with her again or something like that. Also, if I was Darren I would of written that Darren (The character) just resist Desmond Tiny. Not kill himself along with steve. Lastly, who the f@ck was he fooling when he said that the series really happened. XD |

| #25 Posted 6 months ago, in reply to post #24 by GOODKyle | Reply | It's just to make it a little more realistic... The author of Percy Jackson kind of did that near the start.
I thought it made the books a little creepier and made you wonder a bit. |
