well, im a writer of novels and short stories and id like to reach out to all the persons out there in here like me. plz, i looked about a little and found out thta the thread that used to exist has gone bye bye, so inform the community of your aspirations and plotlines and secret information about the compliation of words. permit me to tell you about the main book im reading right now
The Guardian:
Monica, the mute siren from a far away land, Ayania. She has been selected to protect the land from any threats with asistance of Nya, a dragon, and Umbria, a 'Child of the Moons'. they end up in our world. then...somethin else happens. i dunno what yet.
i know its a sucky synopsis of my book, but im told that its a good writing style and all my friends like it. plz, inform me about all yalls's stuff. fanfiction, short stories, poetry. anything. i am genuinely interested.  |

The only serious thing I'm working on is a sci-fi/fantasy thing of sorts. But I also do random short stories and what have you. |

More To Life:
...is the title of my 'book' so to speak.
It's about a twenty-something called Eric who has been sold to a rich Japanese tyrant to marry his daughter and be her slave, make sons etc. The story follows Eric's life as Ishida (his wife) finds more and more means to control him (sometimes it's realy quite violent) when all Eric wants are his sons and to be with the real love of his life.
It's really not very good but I'm up to chapter 12 - short chapters - of the first run through. It's all up on my deviantArt. |

And most of whatever's posted is crap, lol. Most. Some of it is still OK.
For my Fiction class we have to have 2 workshops, right? Well I already went through my first one and for that I just wrote something and wanted to know how it would bode with the rest of the class. As a whole they liked it but had a few understandable points about ways I could improve it. So for my next workshop, which is in less than a month, I'm going to show the class the first chapter of my potential series and see how they like it and what I could change to make it better. |

It's a very cheap fantastical story which is basically The inheritance cycle meets the books of Pellinor but I'm pleased with it.

Only 15? Gosh, I'm only 15 now. Can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to looking back on my work and cringing. I'll probably try to check your story out. |

| #14 Posted 6 days ago | Reply | I'm a writer! I don't have any of what I write posed online or anything, but I've finished ne book and I'm working on 7 more. Mostly like short stories or novels and stuff and my main genre is sci-fi or action. I tried to write a teen drama (you know, like Gossip Girl) because I hate GOssip Girl and I wanted to make a better version (not that I actually thought I would accomplis it). I failed miserably and so I just stick to my 2 main genres now.
I don't think I'm very good, but I still like writing so w/e. ppl can think what they want. lol |

I don't know what you mean by that... but synopsis:
The Earth has first contact with an alien species, who then start blowing stuff up in an attempt to eradicate humanity, just like any good disaster novel... The world's military forces are woefully inadequate. NASA decides that their only hope is to use the method they saw once in a movie... fly a captured alien spaceship up to the mother ship and blow it up from the inside! However, they don't have a captured alien ship... all they have are a few missiles and a space shuttle. They commission RAF Group Captain Joshua Hales and another (as yet unnamed) crew member to fly a crudely modified space shuttle (that looks like shit's been sellotaped on) up to the mother ship.
Being completely awesome, Gp Capt Hales manages to make them not die on the approach. They blow the mother ship up, but disaster strikes on the way home. Scientists rebuild Hales using some stolen alien tech, and so he can no longer die of natural causes.
And so on... He can live like, for thousands of years. The main story finds our hero a few thousand years from now, and doing some crazy military sh*t... story as yet unspecified...
That's the synopsis of the series... essentially... |
