The Scarlet Letter by Nathanial Hawthorne. Not a ton happens event-wise, but it's a beautifully written study of human nature and society. It's actually pretty short, too, so if you're feeling apprehensive - at least you wouldn't suffer long if you don't like it.
Plus, due to its brevity and classic nature, it's cheap. The average copy costs around $5

P.S. Zork, Count of Monte Cristo: The Abridged Version XD is my favorite book of all time. Well... yknow, right under the Bible. Smite-insurance from the big guy upstairs.

Grimm's Complete Fairy Tales. All 211 of the stories they collected. From the well known Hansel and Gretel to the not so well known The Mouse, the Bird, and the Sausage. Very interesting to see many well known fairy tales in their original form. You'd be surprised how much has changed over the years with some of them.

and also Uncle John's Great Big Bathroom Reader by the Bathroom Readers' Institute. I love their books.

I was reading the first Lord of the Rings book for school, but I won't be able to finish it before I get Harry Potter, so I decided to read the Hobbit (I got a box set of the books).

I Just finished "Dearly Devoted Dexter" by Jeff Lindsay, and "Areas of my Expertise" by John Hodgman. I recommend both strongly. I'm currently reading Hugh Laurie's "The Gun Seller", which is pretty enjoyable so far.

I'm reading something called "Inkspell". I'm only the first chapter (the lines are so small for me) but it seems pretty cool. I haven't read the one before it (Inkheart) so I have no clue of who's who really. =/ But I'll just have to wait and read.

Looking for Alaska by John Green(for a book club). Okay as YA books go. Not really spectacular yet.
Macbeth. C'mon, its Shakespeare. What hasn't already been said about Shakespeare?
and
Smoke and Mirrors by Neil Gaiman. Neil Gaiman is just a fantastic tale spinner. Period.

That's kind of weird... I recently finished Inkspell, but never read it's predecessor. Makes me kind of wanna read it and it's sequel, which is either coming soon or recently released.
