| #12 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | The Scarlet Letter by Nathanial Hawthorne. Not a ton happens event-wise, but it's a beautifully written study of human nature and society. It's actually pretty short, too, so if you're feeling apprehensive - at least you wouldn't suffer long if you don't like it.
Plus, due to its brevity and classic nature, it's cheap. The average copy costs around $5
P.S. Zork, Count of Monte Cristo: The Abridged Version XD is my favorite book of all time. Well... yknow, right under the Bible. Smite-insurance from the big guy upstairs. |

| #13 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | Grimm's Complete Fairy Tales. All 211 of the stories they collected. From the well known Hansel and Gretel to the not so well known The Mouse, the Bird, and the Sausage. Very interesting to see many well known fairy tales in their original form. You'd be surprised how much has changed over the years with some of them.
and also Uncle John's Great Big Bathroom Reader by the Bathroom Readers' Institute. I love their books. |
