I'm around 33% done...ish.
I don't know how I'll reach LittleKuriboh or Kroze or Ben, their inboxes are probably so flooded.
They might not even take me seriously ;_; |

1) find gba roms
2) edit them
3) its not against the law
considering you can play ragnarok for free or most video games with out buying them and just play them on the computer I don't see anything wrong........
or some one with one of those flash player things could make one.......
or some one that can program or something like that. |

| #28 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | I know this might not be the right place to be ranting, but I'm having a pretty big crisis over this game right now.
I talked to Kroze and CrazyHedgehog today on the IRC, and they both put a big negative on releasing the game on the Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged official website. They said it would be an immense copyright infringement to the francise, regardless of being non-profit. This was a huge disappointment.
A part of me said to myself 'You know, if it was really important that the game go up on the official website, you should have cleared this before you even started making it.'
But then the other part of me said 'Well I thought they would be cool with it and I didn't think there was going to be a serious problem! I mean, how much infringement could it be compared to what's already on the website?
(sarcasm) Altered anime footage isn't bad, but taking images from a videogame? Satan will be very angry!'
Actually they don't even know about how the game uses stills from a Yugioh GBA game. They weren't even curious about it :(
CrazyHedgehog advised to put the game on Newgrounds. I'm really nervous, because I don't have a Newgrounds account-- I'm afraid of my beloved creation being deleted from getting low rating values. I'd be running with the big dogs, I'm so filled with doubt when I compare myself to what others have made.
I mean, the game's not crappy but it's definitely rough around the edges. I really want it to look and be awesome, but my personal deadline is before school starts up again.
Right now, the only thing consoling me is that LittleKuriboh said it was ok to make a game with his ideas.
He sure is a swell guy. At least he didn't reject me! (*crying*)
Well, this game will be an even bigger waste of time if I never finish it. I guess I better go do that now. |
