Thats nothing. If anything to me thats short. Most series make you wait at least 4 months or more between episodes. To put things in perspective, VGDC (if you don't know who this is, you have no right to be using the internets right now) spent more than a year on each Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom episode. |

Fine, the story is simple and kinda lame, but so were almost all of VGDC's flashes. So? Who gives a fuck? The point of his flashes is to be entertaining, not revolutionary.
Some tweens? SOME TWEENS?! That flash is almost all tweens, definitely, but that doesn't do justice to the flash by ripping on it for using tweens. My judgement would be he uses a couple thousand tweens in each episode, maybe more.
The graphics are better than almost any sprite animation I've ever seen, more than half of the backrounds and about a quarter of the character sprites would have to be custom for the loops and ANIMATIONS he creates.
And I'd like to hear you suggest as to HOW you can make a flash without using A SINGLE SOUND NOT ON THE INTERNET. That is an absurd attack.
Before you attack a flash author think about the flash itself. Did they use the CONVENIENCES of flash to do something that could otherwise be animated or was it used to do what they would have done with tedious work in a fraction of the time? aka Shortcut or Laziness?
I'd seriously consider you think before you scrap anything other than the storyline because if you have a problem with Flash Animation of any merit (note: merit, not crap), you have a problem with me!
Note to Pigpen:
I apologize if you took a personal offense to my attack. It is nothing of the sort. It is simply my duty to defend the honor of Flash Animation and its many artists when I am able. |

Using lots of tweens is the OPPOSITE of good and you can not use any sound from teh internets by MAKING IT YOURSELF!

| #19 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | Heh, I don't submit to newgrounds asshole. I have my reasons and I don't have to answer to you asshole. But to anyone who does care, here's a few of them.
#1: It is the most victimized site ever (aka Ebaumsworld.com sucks). Meaning it is the most stolen from. I wish to keep my flash underground. Good luck finding my stuff bitch.
#2: My beliefs are moderately against the aetheist trend of many, but not all, Newgrounders, that isn't to say I don't admire some of the guys on newgrounds (Tom Fulp rocks my socks off though, he was my very first internet hero) but I've had my share of disputes with many in that community, even to the point that once it go so out of hand that I and a couple other guys were banned and the thread disappeared off the face of the earth never to be seen again. (long story, and temporarily from the forum, not the site)
#3: I'm only just getting out of High School. I've focused more on my grades than making tons of flash. So far I've made about 2 full length cartoons (one was 5 1/2 mins long and done in two and a half weeks, I never fully finished it so a third of it was shown in storyboard form) and many many many more unfinished products. Basically, I've only got one full fledged animation. I get sidetracked and such. Most of my stuff comes in the form of looping gifs and/or jpegs easy and FUN to make. Newgrounds is not the place to put that stuff. Its nice for a backround symbol and such but not as a movie.
I plan on having a life outside of the internet. I'll still be there, just not bursting out on the 'scene'. I do NOT want to be made an icon or a celebrity. I am doing my part of the supporting actor. If you think that's stupid then just take a quick look at Hollywood. Little to no privacy, slanderous tabloids, sex, babies, drugs, marriage, divorce, marriage, divorce, marriage, divorce etc etc.
Now you've gone and turned this entire thread about a cartoon into a face-off, if you wish to insult me further then just make it a fucking topic already. It'll at least be easier to bash each other that way. |

I don't think it's possible to make a decent flash without tweens. the declind of video gaming series is completely tweens, from what I've heard. Also, if there is something someone can use to save time, by god they should use it. It's not morally incorrect to use the scripted camera, so why shouldn't they use it?
On another note, it's a great series. Can't believe they killed of he koopa bros (the Axem rangers can die for all I care though) and the 'It's over 9000!' joke was exectued perfectly. Unfortunatly for me, I was planning on using that joke in a comic of mine and now everyone and their grandmother has heard that joke a thousand times. It was hardly mentioned till that episode. But, ah, oh well. |
