| #1 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | I'm on my school's team. I don't really know much though, like I'm still kinda iffy on serving and the set deals and switching. but that's why I'm on JV. DDD:
However my coach said I have "One helluva stroke." :D
Anyone else play it? My Dad's really good at it, and so is my brother. My dad has tons of trophies in this room. o.o |

| #3 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | Tennis rules are easy to get and its kinda fun. I was on my school team. However in Australia its so hot and you get exhausted and dehydrated pretty quick in the summer, especially in long matches. |

The climate here in California is perfect for tennis although it gets hot sometimes. Ive played in a few USTA (United States Tennis Association) tournaments and one international tournament. It was in England about 2 years ago. oh man.....those glorious days. OH and i didnt win either. but i did win local tournaments though.
By the way, Im left handed. Beware of my serve. : D *Evil laugh* |

While skill and conditioning definitly play a role another major factor is determination. I cant tell you how many time I have played against people who had better strokes or were in better condition then me and i would outlast then and win points they thought they had simply because I through everything into the win and enjoyed doing it. True when the gap was large enough I got killed but I never have up and always had fun. True playing Tennis in the desert durring summer getts hot but my opponent is on the same court and it really isnt that bad, just make sure you have lots of water. Started during High school but was never given a fair shot at rank, coach was very bad and maybe he didnt like that i beat his better players . He hardly ever let me chalange up and even after beating the guy above me THREE times the couch still gave the guy the higher place .
But I still play now for fun and am trying to help my friends get better so I can eventually get a fun and intense match out of them. |
