| #5 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | I dunno, he's held that thing for a while now. Unfortunately, Lashley isn't Rey-rey sized--he'll be winning a good majority of matches if he does get the title. Not to insult Rey, but his WHT reign really did suck.:(
BTW, Taker's my favorite wrestler(used to be Angle, though). Damn, so many stars on the injured list(HBK, Trips, Rey, Taker)--Kennedy-san's back wrestling, though(...kennedy~). And two of the ones I respected most died in the span of two years. ;_; |

But WWE does love lashley, they are still making it like he never lost the title in ECW (despite lossing it to vinnie mac)

Cena retains the title at the Bash. Though it'll be a close call, 'cause WWE loves their musclebound Lashley. Still, I see Cena keeping that title warm for our good buddy Triple H.
Anyways, a big fan of a number of wrestlers, me. Though I must admit to being biased towards those hard-working indy guys who are doing well for themselves, such as Samoa Joe and CM Punk. Speaking of Punk, I don't see him taking the ECW title at the Bash. I think Johnny Nitro's got a longer reign ahead of him than just one month. |

I dunno about that--maybe 5 years ago that would be true. I don't see Trips turning back heel anytime soon...I've rather grown used to him as a face.^^ Cena-chan is pretty overdue for a heel turn(and a title switch), but he seems to be a bit more badass than he was in '05.*shudders* |

Give someone else a little time with that belt, which by the way is the gaudiest, piece-of-crap-looking belt ever to grace professional wrestling.
Triple H can't get back to the ring fast enough, IMO. |

Current favs include in WWE still CM Punk, Paul London/Brian Kendrick, Booker T, Mick Foley, and Edge and in TNA Samoa Joe, Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, AJ Styles, Triple X (Christopher Daniels, Senshi, Elix Skipper), Sonjay Dutt, Petey Williams and Chris Harris.
I do recommend checking out overseas and the independents for more pure pro wrestling and less of the showmanship and issues of late in the majors as well. Ring of Honor is great with talent like Bryan Danielson, Matt Cross, Claudio Castiognoli, Kevin Steen, El Generico, Roderick Strong, Austin Aries, the Briscoe Brothers and more. Also the Japanese feds such as NOAH and Dragon Gate are good too with Ultimo Dragon, Jushin Liger, KENTA, CIMA, and Marafuji. Take care! |

| #20 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | I'm not really that keen about the WWE at the moment. Nothing good has come out it for quite some time.
On SmackDown!, we did have a bazooka chinned washout who could only win a match properly via countout as the world champion, now we have a 7+ft Frankenstein's monster wanna-be. On "ECW", a champion who doesn't even know what ECW was really all about. And on RAW, probably the only decent champ we've had in a while, but his moves are getting quite stale and he's held the belt for a bit too long. They say the WWE has writers/bookers to script their shows, who the bloody hell decides on stuff like this to happen.
Anyway, as far as my favourites ever go, here's my list:

In WWE
RAW: Triple H and HBK
Smackdown: Kane, Edge, Rey Mysterio
ECW: Johnny Nitro (His new gimmick looks incredibly stupid though), Balls Mahoney (And Tommy Dreamer when he's not jobbing)
TNA: Chris Harris, Tomko, Rhino
Anyway, regarding the Great American Bash, now that Khali's got the title (boooo), it's a Number 1 Contender match between Batista and Kane. Wonder who's gonna win that one. Hmm.
Honestly, I'm hoping the Smackdown Curse continues and both of them get injured for having the World Heavyweight Title; Khali and Batista that is. I'm sick of Batista and Khali is only entertaining for the following reason: He can walk out to the middle of a huge arena with 20,000ish people, all making noise, and yell with no mic and still be heard by everyone.
Plus I'm sick of Kane getting shafted all the damn time. He deserves a world title that lasts longer than a day.
Anyway, nobody really cares about ECW or its title anymore since the roster is so small and the same matches happen every week; Tommy Dreamer/Nunzio jobs to Nitro/Thorn/Striker and Viscera, CM Punk beats Stevie Richards or Elijah Burke, and Boogeyman is the highlight of the night.
I'm pretty sure I'm not alone when I say I hope the Hardys both win.
Orton and Rhodes' feud: Laaaaaaaaaame.
RAW... I'm looking to see where this thing with Booker, Triple H, and Lawler goes. Cena needs to gtfo and let Lashley have the title.But WWE does love lashley, they are still making it like he never lost the title in ECW (despite lossing it to vinnie mac)
They're just ignoring Vince in all forms due to the "Vince is Dead" storyline getting screwed up early due to the Benoit fiasco. But in any case, he deserves the WWE belt more than Cena.
TNA: God damn, they're using all three titles for ONE FEUD. The writers are high or something.
I think the Wrestling God was a Benoit fan and got pissed off after that whole mess, so he's taking all the good talent away from RAW, making ECW insanely boring, injuring everyone on Smackdown, and screwing with all of TNA's gold.

My Favorite Wrestlers: Samoa Joe, Chris Daniels, and AJ Styles. They've been my faves since that awesome 3-way match at Unbreakable. I used to be a huge Cena fan but now his super long title reigns are getting on my nerves.
And yeah, the TNA writers (Russo, Mantel, and Jarrett, though he's probably gone now) are freaking idiots. I'm still pissed that Samoa Joe still isn't world champion, but that might change come Hard Justice. |

I read yesterday that Nitro had his 3rd name change in his WWE career--he is now John Morrison. Makes sense to drop the Nitro jokes now that he's on ECW, but I really thought it was cute in general.:3 |
