| #5 Posted 6 months ago | Reply | Ima be pissed if the world ends then. I'll be 6-7 months out of college then -_-
Last comment if world ends then: "WTF God... WTF?!!"
But back to what I believe, yeah, all that was truly predicted was that there would be a world changing event that day, it does NOT specifically say that the world ends that day. Besides, there are tons of these. My friend keeps bunches in his phone's calendar just for the heck of it. Basically, I don't believe anything will happen. We're more likely to die to a straying asteroid than that.. |

| #6 Posted 6 months ago | Reply | | Why would the world end on such a clever date? My theory; the world ends 07/15/99. Why? Because no one will expect so it will truly be the end of the world. |

I'm down with that. |

| #13 Posted 6 months ago | Reply | | If the mayans where predicting there own end they where way off because they have been dead for a long time now. But it would be sad if the world really did end then since I would not of experienced everthing that I want to experience by that time. |

| #14 Posted 6 months ago | Reply | If Mayans knew their shit, they'd still be around.
Too soon? D: |
|
|
| #15 Posted 6 months ago | Reply | the mayans said their world would end
key word is THEIR
meaning the world they lived in, therefore, not only were they way off about their own end, but "their" does not count as the UK the US or any other non-mayan place on earth. |

The Mayans do not predict the world will end on that day. Their calender ends on that day. There is a big fucking difference. |

| #18 Posted 6 months ago | Reply | And for those that try and drag the bible into this discussion:
Matthew 24:36
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. |

| #20 Posted 6 months ago | Reply | Do you have any idea how silly this all sounds?
we are literally looking through the records of dead people who wore feathers and leafs and piled rocks together for a sacrificial altar where they kill people to please the sun.
All i'm saying is that we can do better. |

| #21 Posted 6 months ago | Reply | How I see it is...
1. End of the world: Nothing we can do about it.
2. Not end of the world: No point in worrying about it. |

| #27 Posted 6 months ago | Reply | countless people (at least 200) have predicted the end of the world and they've all been wrong. all I know is that in a few quadrillion years the universe will shrink back into the primal egg from which it was borne and shall explode into yet another universe. 'nuff said

|
| #29 Posted 6 months ago | Reply | | The end to the planet Earth as we know it will take a couple 5 billion years, I think. Relax. |
|
|
| #30 Posted 6 months ago | Reply | | Scientifically, yes. Biblically, the world could end at any moment. At least the biblical way wouldn't be painful... |
