Written, produced and directed by Ingmar Bergman.
An excerpt is as follows:
Syrus: We are lost in a sea of infinity.
Jaden: The hollow winds reverberate in the endless corridors of isolation that are my soul.
Syrus: I hear your words, but I have been crushed too far by the weight of inhumanity to feel a pain beyond my own suffering.
Jaden: The blackness consumes me as I drown in an ocean of anonymity.
Syrus: Who will save us from the jaws of fate?
Jaden: We cannot be saved. We are trapped in the nebulous atrium of existence.
Syrus: Will the dawn ever come, to stave away the pall, and cast light on the fragmented pieces of my broken spirit?
Jaden: Should the light ever come, we will only see the vast desolation of our fractured dreams, made pale by the eroding sands of age.
Syrus: Is there no hope?
Jaden: Hope is but a fleeting call from beyond this foreboding chasm we know to be our reality.
Syrus: I concur.
Jaden: Death is upon us.
…And it just goes on like that.

"I think that the juxtaposition between ancient Egypt and card games really brings out the deep, ingrained longing of the artist to dress up in cosplay. To me, this painting really sums up Japanese otaku-ism and highlights a long-tortured innocence. DESU~" |
