| #1 Posted 1 month ago | Reply | | Alright so i have been watching Code Geass lately and was wondering what people think about it. So I ask you, Love it or Hate it? |

| #2 Posted 1 month ago | Reply | Love it.
I watched the 2 seasons in Japanese with english sub titles and it is my 2nd favourite anime series 9the first being death note)
In season 1 Lelouch reminded me so much of Light Yagami. |

oh my, you're so original. |

| #4 Posted 1 month ago | Reply | | I liked reading the first volume of the manga, but then I had to go and skim over Lelouch Wikipedia article and have the ending ruined because someone had to include a picture. Now I don't know what to do. |

| #6 Posted 1 month ago | Reply | | Code Geass is Death Note with giant robots. |

| #7 Posted 1 month ago | Reply | I love Code Geass never love mecha that much since Evangelion.
Eva + Death Note = Code Geass.
The girls in the anime are a little f*ked, especially Nina |

| #8 Posted 1 month ago, in reply to post #7 by insaneXchaos | Reply | | Code Geass and Evangelion have nothing in common whatsoever. Evangelion doesn't even have mechs persay, they are organisms in a way, they jsut look like mechs. Death Note is very similar though, almost shockingly so. I thought Lelouch/Zero was just a combination of Light/Kira and Ken/Digimon Emperor and the series was just a crazy altered Death Note. It was still pretty good though, I enjoyed it which is more than i can say for a lot of other anime I have seen recently. |

| #9 Posted 1 month ago | Reply | Yknow the whole Eva isn't mech thing is really stupid, it doesn't matter if they're giant inert cyborgs, they're damn mechs with a cock pit and power source overall. doesn't matter what anyone says.
anyway I say it's more FMP! + DN = CG |

|
| #10 Posted 1 month ago | Reply | | Yeha i was thinking more FMP as well, But you can't say there isn't a clear difference between an eva and a standerd pilotted man made mech like an arm slave or nightmare frame. Evas are shown to be far more complex and have minds of their own in some cases, I suppose i do still consider them mechs... just very different ones. |

| #11 Posted 1 month ago, in reply to post #10 by Chidori | Reply | | Because they are mechs, the Legendary Spirits from Magic Knight Rayearth which are just the incarnated forms of their powers are alive, but they're still damn mech suits. As is the live and not so well Eva units, same with Rahxephon which are alive |

I do see what you're saying and agree with it pretty much completely but I don't sit them and standerd pilotted mechs on the same pedestal.. there are some pretty major differences. Also, RahXephon is epic, I found it to be a better version of Evangelion and not the 'ZOMG IT'S A RIP OFF' that most people I've talked to about it seem to think. |

| #13 Posted 1 month ago, in reply to post #12 by Chidori | Reply | | Well I for one like it, but it's a kiddy show by CLAMP and I just like Clamp. RahXephon was good too, I liked it, except that movie which was horrid. But I still think Eva put a lot more on the table and took a lot more out of people when coming to emotion or action or suspense. They pulled it off better than Rah. It felt more like Rah was too late over it being a knock off |

| #14 Posted 1 month ago, in reply to post #13 by iwatch2muchanime | Reply | | Yeah, I very much felt the movie just another one of those play by play movies of the series which are hardly ever entertaining, it was a lot better than most like that though as it fille din a lot of gaps. Doesn;t hold a candle to End of Evangelion though. |

| #15 Posted 1 month ago | Reply | | Not a chance, EoE was part of what made it great. However I can't wait for the new Eva movies coming and the first is almost licensed, I just wanna see how they hold up. |

|
| #16 Posted 1 month ago | Reply | | The first one was pretty good I thought, I'm glad to here they are making some substantial changes because otherwise it will just get tedious. |

| #17 Posted 1 month ago, in reply to post #16 by Chidori | Reply | I didn't notice much of a difference in the first new movie. Then again, it's been quite a while since I saw it.
EDIT: On the subject of Code Geass, would anyone be interested in sharing their take on the ending? I know it's been debated to death, but I haven't seen a topic in here about. |
