| #2 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | Heh, I can't wait for season 2... Though I'm afraid it won't be as good. But as long as Hiro is in it, I'm sure it'll at least be funny. lol.
I'm not sure if this is true or not, but my mom said she saw a preview of season 2 and Peter is returning. I can't find that preview anywhere, though. So I dunno'. |

|
| #3 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | Oh I hope so... to me, Peter, Hiro, and Claire are the only "true" heroes in that they act selflessly. I'm sure the others have the potential, but I'm just not seeing it yet... |

| #4 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | Well in the end Nathan died for the city... Or maybe he flew away before Peter exploded, lol. I never really liked him though, so I guess you're right about Hiro, Peter, and Claire. |

| #5 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | Peter can't die. |

| #6 Posted 1 year ago, in reply to post #5 by CrazyMage | Reply | I'm not so sure. Remember when Claude pushed him off the rooftop? well he said, after falling, that if he had not remember claire he would've died, thereby discovering that he needs to remember how he felt with that person to use the power.
However I'm sure he was thinking of Claire when he exploded :P |

| #7 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | heroes is one of my favorite shows! they kind of ruined the season finale, but i think i will forgive them when season two comes out with hiro in the past! |

|
| #8 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | They are going to get the show cancelled by doing 30 episodes this season, plus a spin-off.
Heroes has not earned a spin-off, just like Grey's Anatomy hasn't.
Oh, and I hate the show. I began as it's biggest fan at Comic-Con 2006, but was sorely hit in the head when it aired. I stayed with it for six episodes. |
|
|
| #9 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | Its not really a spin-off. Its six episodes about different generations of heroes, and at the end, viewers get to vote which character remains as a regular cast member for season 3. They needed something to air during the inevitable hiatus, because each episode takes forever to make. This was their idea, and I think its a lot better than having a three month long break.
The show might not be perfect, but I think it isn't great. Of course there are going to be many individuals who don't like it, but it has appealed to a very large, global audience. That is certainly a success. The cast is large and diverse enough that there is something for everyone. For instance, Peter is probably one of my favorite TV characters of all time, but I know a lot of people who can't really stand him. |

| #10 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | I'm a Heroes fanatic, no questions asked. September can't come soon enough... |
|
|
| #11 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | The 30 episodes next season includes Origins so it's not bad. Like someone already said, this'll just negate the hiatus by giving us a little action.
Also, I can't wait for Comic-Con next week. News, exclusives, and of course, the ENTIRE FRAKING CAST! |

| #16 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | I think Sylar died and some other person just dragged him into the manhole. Also Peter did not die, he would just not die because of Claires power. |
|
|
| #17 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | Lol i love Heroes, Peter cant die! i love him too much! yea plus claire's ability would make so he cant die.
ne1 else think nathan's heroic act was way outta character? |
|
|
| #18 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | No, I think Nathan's act fitted with his obvious surety about his EVIL EVIL mother, and his love and trust for his little brother.
Sylar...I just can't help feeling sorry for him. I mean, screwed up, psychopathic murder he may be, but there must be some good in him - he was horrified to think he'd kill millions of innocent people, and his mum helped loads in screwing him up. |

| #22 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | OK saw there were 2 threads but this one is older so I'll post my news on the show here which I do for this and other forums.
ATTENTION HEROES!
HIYA FOLKS! How's the summer been? I see lots more good dialogue on the Heroes front so I come bearing gifts again with my updates!
:excl: SPOILER ALERT :excl:
2 areas of reference. The first of course are the ongoing Graphic Novels online at HEROES GRAPHIC NOVELS LISTINGS AND MORE
This week starts a new arc with a side story for Claude with his previous partner before he's assigned to Bennet. Do enjoy!
The bigger news I'm sure you're all curious is this from my local newspaper's Critics tour of the new Heroes set, with his guide Masi "Hiro and Emmy Nominated" Oka!
HEROES SET TOUR HINTS TO SEASON 2
Please take a look at your leisure but I'll for now highlight the biggies found on a tight lipped set (ironic as the reporter says as Adrian "Nathan Flying Man Petralli" Pasdar noted, 'no one wanted to talk to them last year, and now they do this year and can't say much!')
-Well right off the bat from my quote, Nathan might have survived or is in it in some capacity such as flashbacks for now. Also seen at the preview on set was Milo "Peter Petralli" Ventimiglia whom many of us figured survived his explosion.
-START DATE AS OKA GAVE AS AN ANSWER TO ANYONE WANTING SPOILERS: SEPTEMBER 24!!!! HEROES WILL RETURN THEN! MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW!
-NEW SETS. Jokingly Oka said the Irish Pub set was for Hiro to go back in time to save the other NBC series the Black Donnellys. :D The Heroes, as the sites have said, will be more global travelling. Along with Ireland already revealed are Egypt and Central America. Another new set is the Bennet's new home.
-Returning scenes included Issac Mendez's loft that Oka said "might be used for other purposes." Another one with tips is Mohinder's apartment. Seen there were toys and stuffed animals. So either Mohinder is opening a daycare, wants his Bobo back, or most likely, is housing Molly now from last season's finale.
-Some secrets revealed too of new heroes/characters! Again at Mohinder's apartment the lucky reporters/critics got to see the MAP! And like us they scurried to locate heroes in their local district. The Canadian reporter of this article of course found one near us in Ottawa. The other revealed character was on set, Maya from Central America who is played by Dania Ramirez, who if you Google/Wiki was A.J.'s former fiancée on the Sopranos.
Phew, does that sate the tummy for now? I know I'm a very happy Heroes fan in waiting. Start the countdown now... |

| #24 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | I'm a big fan of Heroes, but OH MY GOD the last episode sucked!
I was expecting an epic fight with Peter and Sylar with the other heroes helping out, but the fight only lasts like 5 minutes before Hiro anti-climatically kills him. It's like Sylar just stood there like an idiot waiting for Hiro to kill him or something, and that was BS. Sylar, the all-powerful villain who could've just self-destructed and be done with it, dies just like that.
Also, if this show goes on another unnecessary 8 week hiatus, it will probably get canceled or I'll just stop watching. NBC will be the death of this show. |

| #25 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | I really think this is the best non-anime TV series airing right now. |

| #26 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | Heroes was awsome i liked how every character got thuroly described even if they were gonna be killed off it made the show more complexe and have more substance which made me want to see more my favorite characters were Peter, Sylar and Parkman |

| #27 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | Hurry up and be September already. I'm really interetsed to find out who the new big bad is that Molly talked about in one of the final episodes. I'm also not convinced in the least that the furute we saw Hiro travelling to won't still come to pass since Sylar survived.
I'm avoiding reading anything but minor spoilers for season two before it starts, so aside from some of the new heroes I know nothing about it. I honestly think it's the best character driven show on television, I don't think I could say I really care about any of the characters in Prison Break or Lost beyond their place in the plot but with Heroes they've done a brilliant job of making every character so believable and you can't help but wanting them all to stay alive even the bad guys. Finally what in the hack happened to the Haitan, I can't remember. |

| #28 Posted 1 year ago, in reply to post #27 by DrunkenPrayer | Reply | I'll keep people posted then here too as I do on other forums. I'm hearing a few special guests being recruited too but will give more on them when I get the info. The Graphic Novels at the link I gave above in my last blog again are good to keep you in between episodes. And yes DrunkenPlayer (awesome avatar BTW; got that one for another forum I'm on) I will also be careful on spoilers and will test out that neat feature on this particular forum.
Heroes on Wiki is where I go for some news along with others. For example the minor spoilers thus far for season 2: See the empty SQUARE brackets? HIGHLIGHT THAT SEEMINGLY EMPTY SPACE TO READ SPOILERS!!!!
[ Season 2: 2007–2008
In an interview with E! Online Tim Kring said: "There are plans to add one new, one big character next season." He also stated that the "Heroes" that remain are likely to stick around, because he has changed his MO. "I thought Heroes was going to have an ever-shifting cast," he says, "but the cast hit in such big ways that now the challenge is to figure out how to use them all and still fold in a couple of new people, because I still think that the origin stories are the most fascinating, in some ways." Masi Oka, who portrays Hiro Nakamura, recently said in an interview with Sci-Fi Wire, “I think it’s great the way the finale ends… It’s a wrapping up of volume one, which is called 'Genesis'. And it wraps up the whole bomb storyline. So it’s a nice finale, and there’s a great cliffhanger with everybody, I would say. And you do get to see a little bit of volume two, which is called 'Generations'." Tim Kring also revealed that although he plans to keep most of the "surviving cast" with the addition of a couple of new faces, season two will start off with the heritage and lineage of some of the major heroes families, including the first generation of heroes (Mr. Linderman, the Petrelli Family, Charles Deveaux, and Kaito Nakamura, among others.) This season will have a total of 24 episodes. A new regular named Maya, to be played by Dania Ramírez, will be joining the cast for the second season, however this has yet to be confirmed by NBC or Tim Kring.
Season two begins at the conclusion of "How to Stop an Exploding Man", and will run in the 2007-2008 season. Hiro Nakamura lands in the middle of a seventeenth-century battlefield near Kyoto, Japan. Kensei is about to begin a battle with another family when the event is interrupted by an annular eclipse.
According to Tim Kring, the first episode of season two will air on September 24, 2007 and is entitled "Four Months Later". It will take place four months after the events at Kirby Plaza and introduce new heroes while continuing the stories of some first season heroes. Also, Hiro's journey to ancient Japan will be featured and he will remain in the past for quite a few episodes.
The second episode is to be called "Lizards" , according to a caption on recently-released promotional images of new characters. ]
Also looks like I'll have double duty with the added spinoff too Heroes:Origins but I don't mind more Heroes. It has a unique voting system as new heroes will be shown in story and fans will vote who joins the new cast; showing more interactivity in TV today. Oh and one more spoiler of the director/writer for episode one, a certain Hollywood fan: [ At the 2007 Comic-Con International, it was announced that Kevin Smith would write and direct the first episode of the spinoff, as he was already a fan of Heroes. ] |
