Yep, just highlight the spots in between brackets in my last post to see more on Season 2 coming up thus far. The link has some info too. I'll have more info as it comes. The graphic novels will start a new story next week with the one on Claude now done. Take care!

(I dont want to call this a spoiler because it is just my theroy(and its not that big a deal anyway), but is seems very possible that it is true. So...read it or not.)

[ You remember that future episode? That future is probably real. Nathan died, Peters scar would be from the explosion, Sylar got the girl who can look like anyone. A few more things still need to happen, but so far everything checks out. ]

Nah they've pretty much confirmed that both the Petrellis are back for the next season. That's not to say that future isn't going to happen at some point but I'd doubt we'll find out in the new series.

Nathan too? How are they going to explain that? (I don't read stuff online about shows, so if they already said something about it, I don't know yet)

I don't actually rightly know about Nathan, but I would assume so because either that or Sylar in the next series would have to be pretending to be Nathan the majority of the time. My guess is they both come back, Nathan having let go of Peter before he exploded and Peter surviving because he is immune to Teds abilities and heals thanks to Claire's when he crashes back to Earth.

This is all speculation on my part though, but Peter is definitely confirmed and Nathan was with the rest of the cast for the series two panel at ComiCon so I'm assuming he's back since DL wasn't there and he's quite obviously dead, well I'd assume anyway it would be a bit of a stretch to assume he survived.

Only 11 more days to see the next season. First season was pretty good, even if it had some continuity mistakes, it got me hooked enough to continue watching it. I also think that season 2 won't be as good as season one but i'll watch it anyway :D

for example in chapter 20, how did Sylar magically hide himself from Parkman's ability to read minds? that's one i know, a friend has seen more, hehe, let me ask him

For us we got the episode shown and sadly with no home comp I can't update as often as I would like but just the quick hits on questions:
[ * Paper people STILL can be scary so treat your Kinko's/Paper Store workers well!

*Maya and her bro in Mexico as new characters is looking intriguing, sort of like Rogue's (X-Men) storyline of it being more of a curse than power

*Hiro/Kensai's story was weird but fun and has potential

*The new big question: Who killed Kaito Nakamura (Hiro's Dad/Sulu from Star Trek George Takei)?!

*Mohinder/Matt/Molly make up the new 3M who have a nice story to themselves

*New Villain to come will likely be cool (I hope) while Sylar will be back

*What WILL happen to both Petralli brothers, particularly Peter considering a funky ending?

Do enjoy and take care!

My two cents copied and pasted from another thread spoiler tags [ I know it's only one episode in but it looks like they're already repeating the faceless bad guy thing. I realise it's to be suspensful but they manage that fine without having to hide the bad guys face in the shadows for most of the series. In fact they did it with Linderman and Sylar last series. Not to forget the "Oh we're not going to reveal what their power is until much later" (Maya) gimmick being used again. Hopefully they proove me wrong though. I think the Parkman/Molly storyline is probably going to be the best of the lot. ]

I just love the fact [ that Peter is in Cork! Although Hollywood Irish accents suck ass! Although one or two are quite Corkian. Anyone see the preview for the box? dumdumdumdummmm! ]

I very much aprove that they are showing more locations around the globe. As well as using the bar set from the cancled show.

The Irish accents are a wee bit off but not terrible, my old flat mate was from near Cork and the accents seems about right but maybe a bit more northern. I think Peter's storyline has the potential to be quite interesting and hopefully they keep the Irish girl in the show, not for character depth or anything just because girls with Irish accents - even fake ones, are hot. Hiro's story looks like it's going to take an interesting turn now as well. Slight spoiler for UK viewers who are still on season one [ Also YAY the Haitan is back. ]

Can anyone explain [ how Peter ended up with super strength in episode 2? As far as I remember he hasn't met Nikki or anyone else with that power yet. Before it's pointed out they have met I know, but that was in the future timeline. ]

They were all at Kirby plaza. And she must have gotten into his range at some point.

Now this is what's great on sharing thoughts on shows: connections to real life and learning more on others. I'm in Canada, eh and thus this is quite the lesson on Ireland, thanks!

OK the show you're thinking the set is from is likely the Black Donnellys but sadly with my limited computer time at the library until I get back on my feet, can't check for sure so that's only off the top of my head.

Yamiangie covers the question by Drunken. Yep, by the finale he was in range to absorb both the phasing from DL, and since Nikki also fought, he got her super strength too.

Maya and her bro Alejandro are also my main new favs but [ the revealed Kensei might be good now, even if a lout, due to the revealing of his similar healing ability to Claire, and on that note, West, the boy that can fly who follows Claire might be neat too and somehow I can't get Clark Kent out of my mind when I see him and I don't even watch Smallville oddly. ]

Of course for other stuff I recommend one of my OK sources at Heroes at Wikipedia and there are more revealed castmembers and previews, along with links like to the NBC site/Graphic Novels and such. Enjoy!

Oh and am away for a bit for Turkey Day (Thanksgiving)...in Canada!

OK...this funky comp double posted me so I'll just edit this now instead to say that it's likely next episode (haven't peeked myself at previews) that we find out now of the other Heroes family of DL/NIki/Micah. Oh and from that link I gave I also happen to see the inevitable video game. Usually a bit careful with games from shwos/movies but Ubisoft has a good track record so I'll try to keep optimistic on this one.

yeah, [ I don't think DL made it, or is probably comotose, because we haven't heard anything about him or seen anything about him. I mean he keeps getting shot every time hes starting to recover, his body can only take so much at one time. Gonna miss him, he was pretty cool. Course, by tonight I'm most likely going to end up eating my words, but oh well. Also, anyone see something happening between Claire and West? *raises eyebrows suggestively* ]

Also, new episode tonight here in the US! Can't wait, so far I'm very happy with season two.

Anyone else get a chill seeing the ending of the last episode?

[ i.e. Mendez's painting of a dead Noah Bennet with Claire and a mysterious figure kissing in the background. Were they kissing? They flashed the picture and it went by so fast. ]

Hi folks looks like some things came true as far as D.L. (and again it's possibly also choice of the director, or other projects as we see what occurred with the past Candace (Missy Peregrim, now on my fav show of the new year, Reaper as Andi). So Crazy, you were not so crazy to post what you thought.

AS for Overmind's points: [ The Bennet Painting was odd for me as he started as the character I hated the most as for his actions, not as actor as he did it so well, to a big fav and now he saw his fate, after being added to the cast. Well we shall see. Not sure about the Claire part with the unknown person. I even have some nagging it might occur with a fake death again like with how Peter survived his fate or with how the Haitian faked Bennet's last shooting. But yeah, shot to the eye sucks. Don't think Claire was kissing but it does give one things to think about. ]

OK my library time is up this week. Take care and enjoy!

They might as well just embed spoiler tags for every post in this thread automatically, or we could make a new one for season two so that people can just come in once they've seen the most recent episode. It's worse for people in the UK because season one hasn't even finished on BBC yet and hardly anyone watched it on SciFi from what I've heard.
Anyway newest episode [ I reckon HRG/Bennett is a goner, as much as I don't want to see it happen because he's turned into one of the best characters in the show. Claire is probably going to end up corrupted/misguided somehow and it's entirely possible West knows more than he's letting on. Think about it Hiro's dad gets pushed off a roof but no second body is discovered, West can fly so maybe he's working with whoever is tracking down the older generation who we know were connected with Linderman and possibly the company. This is all real guess work here and probably wrong.
Sylar losing his powers? Not a clue what's happening there or who left him with Candice but I figure he's got to get them back because we know from last season that he had her power in the future, maybe some experimental form of the drug Nikki is looking for to cure her.

Bonus points for me on getting my theories right!

[ I'm kinda mad at Peter. Who cares if his life might have been bad? I'd want to know how I got my powers and all this other stuff. Also, can't wait for Monday, we're supposedly learning about the older generation. That'll be interesting to see. My theroy, again, is that Kaito can only use his power with the use of a sword. Maybe he does some super special awesome sword fighting.
And all these English people who act like jerks and have special abilitys makes me miss Claude. Anyone else believe we might be seeing him sometime in the near future?

Also, it's kind of a no-brainer who Claire might be kissing in the picture. And also, not everything is as black and white as Isacc's pictures seem. And also, theres so many possibilities of what could happen. Maybe he could end up living, but have to wear an eyepatch (YARR!!) and a contact lense.
]

And I realized something that the writers of Heroes missed. So far, every sibling or child of a hero has had a power. Therefore, why doesn't Mohinder have a power, since he was a twin and his sister had a power? Or Simone, why didn't she have one, Charles Deveaux being her father and all? That and, didn't Hiro see the bomb going off in the morning in the beginning of season one? So why'd it go off during the middle of the night. Just thought I'd point out these mistakes.

I'm just guessing here but it's most likely a recessive gene, it would take a long time to explain the biology behind this and it's been ages since I actually studied it anyway so I could be way off the mark here. Basically it boils down to which half of your DNA you receive from each parent and which genes are dominant and which ones are recessive.

I'm sure that they will get Christopher Eccleston back at some point. I'm worried about that last painting.

#56   Posted 1 year ago, in reply to post #54 by DrunkenPrayerReply
To further add to your theory, we'll assume Mohinder carries recessive gene(s) and the effects are cancelled out by dominant gene(s). This might help explain why his blood (the blood of a person with no powers) contains the cure for the Shanti virus (which only affects people who have powers).

Sylar's inability to use his powers may also be the result of the Shanti virus (albeit, in its preliminary stages?).

I thought it was a great episode [ although I would have to agree the picture freaked me out but yea, I think West is evil somehow, with the company maybe or some other group but definitly evil. Also I think Alejandro might somehow eventually get effected by absorbing Maya's power thing, just a flash in his eyes or something. Can't wait for the next episode! ]
DrunkenPrayer
#58   Posted 1 year agoReply
I never thought about the possibility of that being why Sylar can't use his powers, well that's a huge "Duh I should have picked up on that." moment and the Mohinder theory does make sense. Not quite sure about Maya and Alejandro yet, I'm waiting to see how they fit into the overall scheme of things. I just had a thought about thanks to Fiddlesticks but it sounds a bit out there now that I think about it but I'll put it in anyway [ what if Alejandro's power doesn't just affect Maya's powers and he can use it like a hybrid between Sylar/Peter/The Haitan to draw or cancel out other ablities but more extreme, so he could potentially draw the diseased cells out of someone with the virus but only at a great risk to himself. ] Like I said it doesn't make as much sense I it seemed to when I first thought about it.

I can't stand Amnesiac Peter and the Lucky Charm Gang. [ He's about to kill the traitor, and then they all freak out. Are they gangsters or not?! And then Peter's all like: I don't wanna know who I am because I might have been violent, so I'm gonna hang around with these thugs who kidnapped me and made me rob people let's make out! ]
