| #2 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | Yeah, I like the Boondocks except how its racist in some points. :/ |

| #3 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | I like the Boondocks; I guess it is kind of racist but that's how it sometimes is in society...minus the obvious exaggerations. |

| #5 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | 'The Boondocks' isn't racist. Even Disney's 'The Proud Family' is more racist than 'The Boondocks'. I don't watch the show regularly, but I like it. Especially the episode with Martin Luther King. |

| #6 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | Yes it is, and no offense, but you have to be pretty dumb or dense not to realize that. And I never watch Disney so I have no ideal what that show is.
I guess everyone going around saying the N word is just my imagination then? -.- |

| #8 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | | Aaron McGruder uses 'the N word' frequently in The Boondocks because it's more realistic. He says that it seems fake to avoid using it. |

| #9 Posted 1 year ago, in reply to post #6 by NoName | Reply | It's kinda hard to call it racist when 1) like it or not, that's a part of black culture and 2) the author is indeed black.
I have to agree with KingMichael, the use the N bomb itself isn't inherently racist within the black community because it's just simply a part of their way of life. No offense is meant when it's exchanged the way it normally is in the show (and when the speaking party does mean offense, it's usually just to show him/her as being stupid and ignorant). The racist stereotypes perpetuated by shows trying to be PC are far more offensive.
But you'd have to take my opinion with a grain of salt considering I'm white. >_> |

| #10 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | ^O^ the racism is the best part of Boondocks~! haha~! if you can't take the joke then the show is not for you~!
anyway, i thought every episode was very well written and that when "offensive" material was being covered, it was done very well and was for being honest about what the author saw and experienced as a black person...
again, i say it's hilarious! i like Grandpa and Riley... ^O^ but i absolutely love Gin Rummey and Ed Wuncler the 3rd~! awesomeness abounds~! |

| #11 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | I love the show, especially anything Riley says. My favorite quote was when he talks about how if you a take woman out to dinner and you're paying, technically, she's a ho.
I hate how it's taking forever for Season 2 to come out already. I just hope it doesn't wind up disappearing like Chappelle's Show. |
