Say there was a live event hosted in the UK, where you could meet LittleKuriboh, chat with loads of other fans, and generally have a cool day out... would you go? Do you follow topics? Is there one you always post in? Wouldn't it be nice if you could get updates whenever there's a new post made in that topic? Well, gosh darnit, I've made that possible for you lovely people today.
When in a topic, click the "Watch" button. Now, whenever you're strolling around anywhere else on the site and that topic is updated, you will get a polite message saying you should get down there!
Try it out on any topic you like. Hey, even this news post's topic. Then go off elsewhere in the forum and soon you'll see what I mean. Have a nice day now!

Hey there folks. Sorry that I was unable to do the Caption Contest on time this week - I've been rather busy. But I promise I'll judge it tomorrow fair and square, and bring you yet another picture to ridicule.

Just thought I'd point out, you don't HAVE to make your captions in the form of an image - a simple line of text will do. Also, please don't send captions directly to me. Post them in the thread (See where it says the number of comments at the top? Click on that)

Hey everyone! So nice to be here tonight performing for you folks!
Wait, what? Who AM I? What do you mean I am not even a main character?!?!?!
You know what? Screw all of you guys, I am just gonna continue on like this little interruption never occurred so HA!
I'm Kroze, one of your insane Site Admins!
What this means is I helped not only build the site but am most likely responsible for any bugs in the site (Like a name being misspelled, Avatars not showing up, site not loading, videos not being able to be downloaded because I took em offline thanks to a server screwup I did, etc.) and various other things like why we don't have replies to PM's yet or why there is no "List users by join number" feature implemented yet.
I also co-own the server this site runs on as well as the IRC chat network that the Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series channel runs on.
What this all really means is you folks are on my turf now, and its a lawless land... a (Lucy?) lawless land we hope to tame! Tame with your guys cooperation that is.
I urge all users to check out and read over the rules thread so they don't do anything stupid and get themselves banned because they didn't read em.
Next thing I would like to mention is this site is still a work in progress. My fellow site developer, Ben and I will be continually adding new features to the site and love hearing opinions about it all so don't be afraid to speak up about anything.
I would ask however that you post all problems that you might be having in the "Help" subforum instead of directly Messaging LK, Ben or I about it.
Even if we don't post in the thread, just know we are most likely aware of it and are working on a way to solve the problem.
Two things that we have kept being asked about I would also like to make mention here, the Store and the Paypal box:
With the store, none of us make ANY money of the sale of anything in it, the only price you will be paying for Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series Merchandise is the cost of how much the item is to make and ship to you. We aren't doing any of this for profit, we are doing all of this you make YOU, the users happy. And keep on sending us your best suggestions for shirts and other things you would like to see be sold in the Store. Ideas are always welcome!
Now the Paypal box, it costs LOTS of money to keep and maintain these servers that host The Abridged Series, especially with the high amount of traffic this site has been hit with (Although it helps that we own the servers) and don't mind keeping it running. The reality of it all is we lose money keeping this site running and active so people like you can use it and grab the episodes and converse with your fellow Abridged Series lovers.
We put the Paypal box up so those of you who want to donate a little to the site to help keep it running and make the servers faster can do so. Its completely up to you if you want to do so or not, and just so you all know, every penny that gets donated to the site is only used for the site and nothing else. Its not there for us to profit off of.
If we ever end up with more money then we need to pay the server upkeep, then it will go into getting new parts for the server to make the site run faster or some other benifit to the site.
I am also working on something to recognize everyone who donates to the site... won't be anything big or anything but its in the works.

And finally I would just like to say welcome to all the 1,500 USERS that have joined this site in the last 24 hours of the site opening and have a good time!

So I figured it might be fun to have some kind of regular Caption Contest, whereby I post a screenshot from a random Yu-Gi-Oh episode and you guys try to think of a humorous caption to go with it. Then next time I post the winner's entry and a brand new screenshot, etc.
And don't think you can win by using Abridged Series quotes - although if they're used creatively, I suppose it's possible.
