Good Morning Vietnam!
Well, I have no idea why I am writing a blog on the YGOTAS web page, much less about football that isn't futbol. In any case, here is an inside look from a Packer fan about the Brett Favre saga. If you are reading this, don't stop now, but you need to get a life.
First, Brett Favre is one of the top 5 quarterbacks to ever play this children's game and has been even better to Wisconsin than Miller Light. (OK I was kidding about that).
However, Brett has put his beloved organization and fans in a pickle, playing the media like a drum, bad mouthing the organization and ruining the GM Ted Thompson. If you didn't notice, Brett retired, then didn't retire, then screwed the retirement because he has fans. This is nothing new. Brett has been flirting with retirement for the past four years.
So, during the middle of this, those who have only known Brett as a Packer, it was tough to see this. All of the Brett Favre fans and the Packer fans who used to be inseparable now have watched a great chasm separate us. I say this because I wanted the Pack to trade Favre, and I will explain why they were correct in doing so.
1) He retired
2) Aaron Rodgers is more suitable in games in Dallas and in the cold (the two type of games that are must wins for these Packers). Aaron isn't an old man and is ready to play. He can stand the cold and will not throw stupid passes that Favre was prone to doing.
3) He retired!
4) If we screw Rodgers, he will not want to resign with us after his promised starting job was ripped away from him. Don't kid yourself, this is fact fellers. If Rodgers is gone, we have to give the job to a Sophomore QB who is not ready to run the apparently ridiculously and unnecessarily complicated west coast offense
5) He retired!!
6) We used two draft picks on quarterbacks this draft.
7) We got something for him; we controlled where he went.
8) People need to learn to deal with their decisions. He retired!!!
Thanks for listening; hope you got a new perspective. Can't believe you read this. If you did, send me a quick message. If you want to comment on what I wrote, go to Forum>Sports>Wisconsin Sports Fans Only.
Sincerely,
Imsobamboozled
