Haldo! We are Florion ("of the flowers," in our own funny Latinate language), mistress of first-person plural. Why did we decide to talk in first-person plural? Well, for one thing, it gives us a new voice, and since we are rather shy, we feel more comfortable blaming all our faults on some other character of our own invention. We first noticed this ism while playing Katamari Damacy--the King of All Cosmos speaks in the omniscient first-person plural form, but we weren't willing to emulate the KoAC just yet. We next encountered this while reading video game reviews by Bret Dawson, the best video game reviewer on the internet. He mostly speaks in second person or uses the first person plural to induct the reader into his responses, but we happened upon an article by him that was filled with lots of first-person plural references and we thought it was extremely adorable (something about pre-pubescent voices on an online shooter game squeaking, "What the hell are you doing in the corner! Get out and shoot!" and his response: "Duh. We are hiding," was irresistible.) And that is the story of our inspiration.
What else do we do? We play lots of video games (we love Okami, Shadow of the Colossus, Kingdom Hearts, and we are currently plugging away at Final Fantasy XII. Overlevelling is the key to success. =3), we write (mostly on roleplaying sites, but we enjoy our schoolwork a bit too much also), we read Terry Pratchett, andum... Good lord, how simple our life is. We need to run outside and stretch our legs and explore nature and things like that more often. Except we would be hit by the cars that roam our natural habitat. That is a little disappointing.
Our favourite food is pumpkin pie. We also enjoy lots of sweet things, like yogurt lollies (Chapmans' only--we have an allergy to peanuts) and cookies. Why do people insist on asking about favourite foods? It means virtually nothing. Except now you know not to feed us peanuts. Unless you really hated us, but why would you? We've done you no wrong, so feed us no peanuts.
We are member #3080! That sounds like a big number, it does. We feel special.
That munster-thing that is our Avatar is Charlotte's Puppy. The puppy is actually a skissor-fiend. But he makes Valentines! Isn't he sweet? He also used to be our MSN avatar for the longest time, until we got a real puppy and had to swap the pictures.
