Well, it was mine and I had a blast! July 24! And I turned 21. lol, I'm old but that's ok. Cause I can gamble now! And drink! Well, I don't like to drink so big deal, but gambling! Woot! I went to a casino with my BF (I'm not going to say which one cause then people would know where I lived and I really don't need people to know that. I don't live in the town of the casino- it's in the same state but way south of me), brought $100 and came home with $37. However, I bought a $10 gift for a friend so about $47- I only lost about half of what I brought (my logic is not logical lol). Do you know how hard it is to find a cheap buffet there? Hard. I mean, the food isn't as expensive as it could be (since they want you to eat and waste money on betting instead), but we wanted cheap buffets- eat alot and as much for a good price. Didn't happen. So, my bf has been there before and said, "Lets go to *name of building*, that's where I went with my sister to a cheap buffet." 2 hours of searching through the building since they don' t give you a map like the other one did. Just to find out, it's not the one he went to. Not only that, it's CLOSED. Also, it was only seafood- I would have liked but not him. So we got frustrated and went to a Johnney Rockett's that was there. I loved it though- it's designed to be like a 1950's dive (diner). My favorite machine there in the casino was called "Texas Tea" I won $5 on a nickle bet! Pretty good ^___^ I sucked at blackjack- which was a bummer -_-' The first time I lost $40 bucks there. I went back and broke even. btw, the table was a minimum bet of $10. That's pretty good considering most tables during the time we went (afternoon) are like $25 minimum. I heard if you go real late at night (midnight through the night) some places have $5 minimum tables. I'd love that!
So yesterday, since I turned 21- my parents had a drinking party for me. Now mind you, I don't really drink- but I wanted a get together so why not? The only thing I can tolerate is rum and coke (I like papsi more so I had that, we'll just call it rum and coke though) since the sting in soda takes away the sting in alcohol and the taste a bit. Just to let you know, I'm a light weight to the max! I remember everything last night, I only got slightly buzzed. I had 3 rum and cokes within 4 hours- however the last one had too much rum and I chugged it. I also had a hawiaan punch and rum slushie. I thought I would like that but I could taste the alcohol and didn't like it -_-' Anyway. My bf had 3 rum and cokes- over 4.5 hours. He was fine, since he didn't chug them and ate during that time. Also, he didn't put a lot of rum in it. He had 1 slushie and half of mine since I didn't like it. My friend had 1 rum and coke- very light on rum and 1 beer. Another friend had 1 slushie. My last friend had nothing- he doesn't drink. 2 others that came later also didn't drink (lol and they are the ones that usually do but they had to drink). So nobody was drunk. We played Apples to Apples- I LOVE that game now! So fun :) Anyway, the worse thing that happen to me was that I couldn't form sentences very well or quick (I got them out though) and I get a bit quiet- more then usual- cause I can't think of what to say. After chugging the last one though, I felt dizzy and slurred a bit. Now, here is where some people fail- most would continue to drink. I got dizzy and said, "No more." People were gone by now and I layed on the couch- wanting to sleep. After trying to figure out if I can take my heartburn pills even though I drank (logic wasn't working lol) and drooling on my bf's lap from laying on him- I got to bed and slept.
Note to self- alcohol and soda gives you really bad heartburn. I need to get a better dose of medicine none-the-less, but damn! Also, alcohol makes you sweat, a lot- not cool. It makes you pee a lot too- not fun when you are trying to play a game. Oh, I also had to force myself to stop laughing at one point because (if you know the game Apples to Apples) we put down the possibilities of: "cuddley freedom", "cuddley mad cow disease", and "cuddley cow pie" (Cow pie one- mine was mad cow disease).
So yea, I'm the "giggly, quiet, laughable, sleepy" drunk. My bf (though he didn't even get all that buzzed) is the talkative drunk. He's SO funny though! Actually, the one time he drank here (I didn't cause I didn't want to- my parents don't care if I do as long as I wasn't going anywhere- they were always chill like that) we stayed up till 3:30 in the morning talking. It was kinda fun too cause he opens up (he's open to me, but you know how people close up on certain subjects?) It was a good talk too.
Ok so point at hand- I'm 21 and I still don't wanna drink. Maybe a rum and coke on a special occasion, but yea..... no. I'd just rather play Apples to Apples.
This sunday (tomorrow) me, my bf and our two friends (who are bf and gf together) are having our first movie night. I'm pretty excited! We're watching V for Vendetta, Hell Boy, and ...... something else. I forget. I just have to figure out what to bring food wise.
I'm also getting my paycheck today- woot! I work at a SaladWorks- super lame but it was available. It's a temporary job. I wanna work at PetSmart doggie hotel when it opens here. Play with dogs and get paid- awesome! :)
